You give me the sweetest tabooHi everyone! I would like to start off by saying thank you for all your kind words from the last post. I cannot express my gratitude that many of you support me. Strange how I live my life now, last week I was living proof of a ship wreck. But this week (ever so slowly) I am rising up on my two feet. I feel like some new born lamb, struggling to stand on all fours. HA! Yup I just made a comparison with myself to an animal. Recently I have been so bubbly with life lately all because of the drastic weather change. Finally autumn has hit Hong Kong and it brings me great joy to feel the cold breeze brush my face while the sun is still shining. Autumn and spring are, without a doubt, my favorite times of the year. I always look forward to dressing up after a long summer season. I got bored with wearing the same old shorts, t-shirts and dresses. And for those who have been following my blog, this summer wasn't as eventful as I'd hoped. I didn't have the inspiration to dress up much because of the suffocating heat wave, plus went through quite a lot then.
But no matter, I am happy. Lately, I have been portraying a lot of my own fictional characters. There's something about this season's trends that gets me thinking of what I want to be the next day. WIth the obsession of headscarfs, maxi-everything, leather jackets, fringes, clutches and fur - I have been acting out different personalities during the week. It takes me back to the days of being a little girl. I remember digging through my mum's make up and clothes searching for the perfect combination of one character I made up in my head. So what am I today? I, myself don't know either. With this vintage Chanel lipstick (which once belonged to my mother), I feel like a gipsy. Yes or no? I guess with the fusion of things - you've got the dress, the jacket, the glasses and the clogs - its hard to pin point what I am. Lets just put it at that. I am a freak.

xoIn other news, I've mentioned in the past that I have been approached by a Korean fashion website. After that first email, we have been going though different brands that would like to be seen on my blog. I am more than happy to announce that I have received my first package ever from a brand called La Palette. If you are a lover of bags and shoes, I recommend you check out their website. They recently launched a great collection called London Street Vintage. However, I received a bag from their Brit Union Line. And I love love love this bag! Its got the tough, hard leather material, which I love. I am a sucker for hard cased bags right now, especially the vintage ones. So when I received this, I was ecstatic that it had the features I find in a bag. Size wise its perfect, not too big, not too small. However I do not intend to use this bag if I plan to bring a lot of things. But nonetheless if fits my uber long wallet, my phone, keys and camera. Another thing that I adore about this bag is that, you can transform it to a clutch - simply snap off the strap and walah you got yourself one pretty rad clutch. Girlies, I seriously recommend this brand. Its of great quality and is definitely your money's worth. Frances ps. I am thinking of doing a little giveaway, what do you think? |
